Eagles Eagles
Wedgetailed Eagle - The largest bird of prey found on the mainland of Australia. Body length can be approx 1 metre long and a wing span of up to 2-3 metres. Eats mostly native wildlife eg: wallabies, and will also feed on road kills.
Tawny Frogmouths Tawny Frogmouths
Commonly mistaken for an owl, however, the Tawny is a nocturnal bird closely related to the nightjar family. They rely on their cammouflage during the day to ensure that predators cannot see them.
Rainbow Lorrikeets Rainbow Lorrikeets
Found mainly in Qld, but have been introduced to other states in Australia. In some areas, is now considered a pest bird, due to numbers increasing.
